David Leonard Allen, aged 78 of Yelverton, Devon entered into Eternal Rest on November 25, 2020. David was born in Enfield on July 19, 1942, the eldest of five and loving son of Irene and Len. David was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in February 2020. He was always positive and optimistic and fought his battle bravely.
David was a Chartered Electrical Engineer at a Power Station. He was fortunate enough to have been able to retire at age 51. He lived his best life in his retirement and took most of his pleasure in the simple things of life; his family and entertaining, his garden; his dogs and walking on the Moors. David was also dedicated and passionate about his duty as a Freemason. David will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, sense of humour and a smile that would light up any room. David is survived by his wife Yvonne, his daughter Jayne, son Jeff and grandson Harrison.
After his diagnosis, David had requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research as he wanted to be able to help towards finding improved survival rates and ultimately a cure for this terrible and devastating disease.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic a private service will be held on Wednesday December 16th. A livestream of the service will be available, and a link will be added to this page.
